Out-of-network Insurance

If you have out-of-network coverage you may be able to get a portion of your sessions reimbursed. Check your benefits HERE

I am only in network with Optum brand health plans.

For all other insurance networks I will work with you to explore out-of-network reimbursement options if they are available to you.

You will pay the cash rate for each session, due at time of session. At the end of the month I will provide a Superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. I can assist with the first submission of this superbill, all others will be your responsibility to submit.

Reimbursement is not guaranteed for out of network benefits. Please check with your insurance company to verify your out-of-network coverage.

Here are some questions to ask:

-Do I have “out of network mental health benefits”?

-If so, how much per session or what percentage of my session fee can be reimbursed?

-Do I have a deductible I need to meet first before being eligible for reimbursement? If so, what is it?

-Do I have a co-pay?

-How do I submit claims in order to receive reimbursement?

-What information is necessary in order to submit my claims?

-How long on average does it take to receive my reimbursement check?

-Do I have a session limit or is there any pre-authorization from my therapist required?

Those who have “out of network mental health benefits” are usually asked to submit invoices from attended therapy sessions that include a CPT/service code and a diagnostic code. Your superbill will always include CPT codes for sessions.

I hold a valid license to practice therapy in the states of New York and Florida.

I am a fully remote practice, meaning all sessions are conducted virtually. This allows you to participate in therapy from the comfort of your own home, or the place of your choosing.

Telehealth sessions are held through ZOOM’s HIPAA compliant telehealth platform

Yes. I offer free 15 min video consultations upon request.

Payment is processed through an online payment system using credit, debit, bank account or HSA. The same system is used for both cash pay and insurance clients.

Auto-payment is required for sessions and payment will be due at time of service.

Any payments not made in 45 days will result in a pause in services until payment is received.

I have a Masters Degree is Social Work from Fordham University in New York City. I hold a current license of clinical social work (LCSW) in the states of New York and Florida.

I have training in psychodynamic psychotherapy, Motivational Interviewing, CBT, Trauma Informed Care and Harm Reduction Psychotherapy

Yes. There is a cancellation policy requiring clients to cancel at least 24 hours before scheduled session. Any sessions cancelled less than 24 hours before will be subject to the full session fee. This policy is for both insurance and cash pay clients. Insurance clients will pay the full cancellation fee, which is not subject to co-payment.

Life happens, and as such each client is allowed one waiver of this fee per 12 month period.
